Cegeka supports
Within a very short period of time, Cegeka evolved from a small specialized player in Limburg to one of the leading ICT companies in the Benelux. The driving forces behind this story of growth and ‘entrepreneurial skills’ are the dedication of its staff, the confidence of its customers and a strong faith in ‘cooperation’ and engagement. Accordingly, Cegeka supports a number of projects that crystallize that engagement, that faith in the sector and in people.
Een Hart voor Limburg (A Heart for Limburg)

Cegeka is proud of its Limburg origin and will always be well disposed towards the province. That’s why Cegeka fully supports the regional fund ‘A Heart for Limburg’.
'Een Hart voor Limburg’ is an initiative of media company Concentra Media. The fund seeks to make life more comfortable for children, sick people and disabled people in Limburg. In 2008, the fund is supporting 30 projects.

“We chose to support ‘een Hart voor Limburg’ because Limburg and the Limburg people largely contributed to Cegeka’s development. Consequently, we are very enthusiastic to be able to contribute our bit towards this initiative that aims at giving everybody in Limburg, and especially the children, a better chance of living happily.”

T-mark (FMV)
Cegeka co-founded, together with Concentra, Philips, the University of Hasselt, Interelectra a.o., Flanders Multimedia Valley vzw (FMV). FMV started in 1999 as a Flemish Innovation Cooperative, supported by the IWT (Institute for the Promotion of Innovation by Science and Technology in Flanders). FMV succeeded in realizing more than 5 million euro support for the innovative projects of its member companies. Since 2002, the FMV has changed course and today, the cooperative focusses on the indispensable marketing (T-mark) of technological innovations.
T-mark assists the sector with advice on technology marketing and organizes foreign market exploration and expert trainings.

E-lab
Cegeka contributed to the foundation of the E-lab. The E-lab wants to support the integration of unskilled workers with the ICT sector. The E-lab is iimbedded in the TSO (Technical Secundary Education) and crams youngsters who are interested in technology, for a job as a help desk operator or for a simular function.
One of the ambitions of the E-lab is to train unskilled workers in such a way that they can take over tasks from highly skilled employees. Thus the personnel shortage in the sector could also be partly resolved. In 2005 the E-lab started a project to sensibilize women for a training in ICT.

Starting centre for Social Economy Limburg
Cegeka is shareholder in the Limburg Starting Centre for Social Economy. The Centre was founded in July 2006 and aims at the employment of low-chance groups. Limburg counts about 38.000 unemployed people whilst 80 % of the companies have difficulties to fill the vacancies. The Starting Centre wants to better align supply and demand and to create a win-win situation for both parties.
The organization stimulates the entrepreneurship and grants subsidies to starting and growing companies that employ people of low-chance groups. In addition, the Starting Centre helps those companies in their search for elegible candidates, financial means and a business infrastructure.
