Also AVR goes for ICT outsourcing

Waste specialist AVR has concluded a 5 year contract with Cegeka for the complete outsourcing of its ICT infrastructure.
Cegeka has been ICT supplier for Van Gansewinkel Groep for several years now. After the merger with AVR, another big player in the waste management market, also the ICT infrastructure of AVR is now completely outsourced to Cegeka. The outsourcing project was supported by EquaTerra. Cegeka manages both hosting and security of the entire infrastructure in the datacenters in Leuven and Hasselt : workspaces, servers, network and telecom. Also the application management and end-user servicedesk support are part of this project. Furthermore, 12 AVR employees are involved; as from 01/10/2008 they are part of Cegeka and work in Rotterdam.
AVR/Van Gansewinkel Groep chose Cegeka for this important project because of our proven competences and the existing service level. Also our flexibility and the speed of the organization combined with the relationship management on several levels were deciding factors.
AVR is market leader in waste incineration with energy recovery. With a processing capacity of 2 million tons, AVR produces in its waste incineration installations in Duiven, Rotterdam and Rozenburg energy or warmth for a large part of the Dutch households and companies. Since 2007, AVR is part of the Van Gansewinkel Groep.
